Il primo album di Vanessa, intitolato semplicemente V, è stato rilasciato alla fine del mese di settembre sotto la casa discografica Hollywood Records (appartenente alla Disney). Il videoclip del suo primo singolo Come Back To Me fu trasmesso per la prima volta dopo la premiere mondiale del film Cheetah Girls 2 alla fine di agosto. Il video non-ufficiale del suo secondo singolo Say OK fu mostrato per la prima volta durante la premiere di Jump In! alla fine di gennaio.
